Dash lamp color change.

Wanting to change dash lamp color to red. Has anyone done this? Colored bulbs, painted if so what type of paint or LED's. If LED's or lamps, were did you find them?

i did mine somewhat and they did ok, however after checking out that how to gonna re do mine, just stay away from those bulb covers i dont like those at all, anyone know of a nice large oversized dome light i can put in my 89 s10, i hate that little one in there

i know that this is kind of an old topic, but do the led's dim like regular bulbs do?
