Is startet with cleaning an sorting all Parts:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/61/787461/3432363630356633.jpg

At the body i have cleand the marks from production.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/61/787461/3232393232356164.jpg

The small parts are very detailed:

It looks very good for an relatively cheap kit.

I'm guessing that is a Fujimi kit, or Aoshima. Any way you put it, it looks far superior to what I'm used to with their cheaper kits.

I think it's cheap because it isn't popular. You'll have a pretty nice looking car when finished, I'm sure.

wow, where did you get this kit from?

And looks good so far, cant wait to see the finished product!

@ rsxse240

The kit is from Aoshima, and it is cheap because it is not for export in other countrys. The Aoshima kits are normaly only for Japan.

@ nicecar

I got this kit from my client, he has bought at http://www.hlj.com/

The first paint is done...

It is original light blue metalic car varnish water based.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/61/787461/3832653165636262.jpg

Unfortunately, it isvery liquid, so that the paint flowed

Now i have to decide what i'll do.

Because the body is making still problems, i startet with painting the bottom.

At first I painted completely in body color, and later the details in flat black and silver (Revell Aqua Colors) painted with a brush.

You painted that with a BRUSH!?!?! That's fantastic!

As for the body, I'd suggest using much lighter coats, and letting them dry for a minimum of 15 minutes between coats. I also suggest scuffing the current coat lightly to get the next coat to adhere a bit better. Remember, Light coats will not run, thick coats will.

The next step was the interior.
The dashboard is finished:

The upper half was painted with flat black, and with the lower in antrazit (also all painted with a brush ;) )
The middle part was primed in flat brown, and after this i spotted Tamiya Smoke with a brush to get the typical wood optic.
The white blot is "Crystal Clear" from Micro Scale to get a little display.

The rest of the interior was painted with semi-gloss black.
The doors were painted like the dashboard in flat black and antrazit.
The floor is dusty grey.

The Windows are one plastik part. I masked all, except the rear ones. These will airbrushed with Tamiya smoke.

I have a little update,

i filled the colour from the Sprycan into an airbrush glass, and brushed the budy with the airbrush.
The paint is now also liable to the edges.

The "Legnum" Logo at the backside is also removed.

This must be one of the first of this car model to show up in AF! Good job with saving the paint, however I notice there is still a mold line on the rear left corner. Are you planning to build another one of these with a Galant sedan conversion?

Albandy

@ Kaho

no an Sedan Modell is not planed.

A little Update:

After the paint had a few days to dry, i taped the window lines and brushed it with flat black:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/61/787461/6635646230373534.jpg

and after removing the tape:

WOW! nice, very nice! i like how you detail every single part!..i got some questions, as im very new to modeling: is micromesh a very fine sanding paper? if so, how it can polish a car without making it dull? sorry for this newbie question...well thanks in advance! and keep the updates coming!

Wouldn't it look a bit odd with the clear over the black trim? Do you generally prefer that to painting the trim after clear/polish, or is it just for this model?

Hi,

Yes, Micromesh is very very fine sanding paper - you can read more about here: https://www.micro-surface.com

:grinyes: I was wondering why you don't do the black window trim after the clear coat. Don't worry about it, I'm sure it looks brilliant.

The front is now complete - the air vents have now received all the grid.
and a homemade number plate has also found its place.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/61/787461/3164356332336134.jpg

Also at the rear, the number plate is at th place.

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/61/787461/3730386334653532.jpg

Also i had painted the intermediate spaces and door handles with black water color.
