Has ayone heard of aurora tires? I need new ones and the local tire place keeps these in stock, tires and install costs about 87.00 for 225/50 R16 (2001 grandam). I can't find anything good or bad on these tires. Anyone here used them?

Can't say that I have ever heard of this brand before. The smaller no name brands are sometimes good... and others... watch out. Check out this website for more information on tires for your grand am... and good luck.

Thats funny you should ask about aurora tires.
I was looking through my new tire supply catalog and just seen these Aurora brand.

Pretty sure they are a new brand and not listed on the tirerack site.

Thier are many good tires and reasonably priced.
Depends on what you want the tires to do, all year(seasonal), or performance and better dry traction...

And then how much you have to spend.

Good Hunting

Ok among my searching for information... I found out that Aurora tires have been around for awhile. It looks like though they are an independent tire maker that uses larger brands to actually make the tires. I figured this out by this link (http://www.recall-warnings.com/auto-content-44144.html) i had found. Now this is dated for 1983 so it's nothing to worry about right now that i know of. This maybe why there isn't much of a market right now on them... I dunno know though.
