Ok, so most of you are aware of my situation form my topics on here over the last month.

In short I bought a 91 TSi with about 95000 on the whole body. The guy had dropped a exhust valve in the number 1 piston.

Anyway the damage is not as bad as first feared. The cyilender wall seems good after a light sanding with INSANELY fine sand paper and a good cleaning. The piston is where the only real damage was taken.

The piston is in tact and whole. It has NO CHIPS OR CRACKS IN IT. The damage is all a small indintation in the top of the piston thats half the size of the valve where it hit. The indintation is clean and no points or anything like that.

Im thinking if I clean up the indent as best I can and make it look good I can run the car with it like that.

I am NOT going to race this car, I love DSM's for their looks and for their smell. (yes I love the smell of the interior...) All my other DSMs were 1.8's so im not a speed demon. I doubt this car will ever see over 4000 RPM's unless im running for my life. And the cars a AUTO so its not a good racer anyways.

I think the car will be fine even if I lose a small amount of compression or burn a small amount of oil im ok with that.

Once the motor does fail if ever I will have money saved to do a race setup. Right now money is tight and the seasons are upon us. I need a car to drive so I think a new HG and some new head bolts outght to get it running. (plus the valve -_-)

Does anyone see a problem with this? No chance it will throw a rod as soon as I start it or anything? Just want opinions on it. Thanks and let me know!

QUOTED FOR THE MOTHER FUCKING TRUTH!!! I thought I was the only one that loved the DSM smell! Every one I have been in (which is three 1g's) have all smelled verrrrry similar, just with their own hint of personality (caused by what was in the car I assume, one was just clean, one had extra oil and other misc fluids, and the other was a smoker's car). Not gonna lie, everytime I get in I take in a big breath and smile to myself :).

And yes, you will be fine with just the little dent in the piston.

OMG I love that smell. Its like a orgasm every time I get into the cars lol.

This talon is SUPER nice to. The guy took very good care of it. The interior is MINT. Its got a new ECU and TCU with stickers on them, the place was a ECU shop in Texas. Its got the stock CD Player Radio which actually works
0_o and the seats are so comfy :)

I cant wait to get it rebuilt and driveing around. DSM's are all Ive owned in my driving career (3 dsm's over 7 years) and I have never had a wreck or or a ticket or anything in them, thats how much I love them and how well I take care of them :)
