I have a 1995 Berretta 2.2. Great car! I am experiencing rough idle after warm up with hesitation upon accell at lower speeds and RPM. usuually be idleing along and will get intermittent hesitation example: riding in a 30 MPH zone and just cruising along.
Have ran codes. No code, No engine or service engine soon light but it does test. Ran codes with CP 9190 code scanner. Only abnormal thing I can see is quad driver 1 and 2 are reading bad on the scanner during drivability check.
Any help would be appreciated.

BFry10you need a new e.c.m. quad drives are hard wired in the e.c.m. and cannot be repaired. quad drivers control, idle, fuel, shift points and a/c control at wot... check all your solonoids on the fire wall first, make sure there working right... ask me how many e.c.m.'s i have replaced and it worked perfectly after that, but i did check the firewall soleniods first and they have always been good except for one car and it still had to have a e.c.m....

Ok I cannot believe this but I went out this morning to start my car and ta daa, non start. I found that the fule pump was not running. I tried several times with no luck. I was just fooling around checking fuses on the fule pump control pwr circuit and turned on the key and I heard the pump run. I started the car. ran the car for 5 minutes and shut it off. waited 5 minutes and attempted to start again and wouldn't ya know it the car would not start and you could not hear the pump prime up. I am thinking fuel pump relay. The Haynes has a method of TS I will try in the morning. Will advise. Any other advise would be appriciated.

TS --- troubleshoot, troubleshot etc...

:iceslolan I have completed the troubleshooting as per the hanynes manual and no go. I swapped relays and changed the oil pressure sensor/sending unit. (it was leaking a small amount anyway. $5.99 at auto zone)
RECAP: I have changed the ECM and all did not go well and seemed to get worse. I checked fuel pump relay and fuse. I went back and ordered another ECM. it seems that the wiring diagram dose have a cirsuit going through the ecm for fuel pump relay control.
So I will wait for two days to get another ECM. I had to order it.
If you guys and gals see something I am missing please pipe up and make it loud. I would appreciate it.

TS --- troubleshoot, troubleshot etc...I thought you meant something like T.orch the S.on of a bish...lol...j/k... have you checked for power on both sides of the e.c.m.?... you know where the power comes in and then where it comes out, if you can get me and everyone here voltage readings that would help...

I was going to attempt to do that but my wiring schematics are limited tot eh hanynes manual. I will review and try but I have alrwady turned in the old ECM and I am waiting on the new one around Monday morning. I looked the the schematic before and located the fule pump control circuit. It was a D9 with green and white tracer. I did not see the exit point by the diagram. Haynes is very limited.
Is the voltage 12 volts or am I looking for control voltage only like +/_ 5 volts dc?

BFRY10:)well if you have turned in the old one... it too late for voltage checks.... i hope and pray that all that was wrong with it was the e.c.m. but before you change any more parts...diagnois, diagnois, diagnois...
each circut will have its own assigned voltage ranges, im not sure what that one is suppose to be with out consulting Mitchells, but I'll check it when i get my Mitchells computer out of storage, but I believe its a 0-5 volt range...

I wish I had more technology to work with. If I just has information such as parameters, voltage values etc.. to work with I would be a lot better off. I do not run an automotive shop but I do take on some side work from time to time. Of course this is my work car I am attempting to repair now. Where can a fella get mitchells manuals at or DVD's. Are they expensive? Wel, Monday will tell. I work the 3 to 12 shift so I will pick it up tomorrow morning and install. Hopefully it will be good. I will update.

It seems that the ECM fixed the issue. I was a more expensive route but it is runnning well. I accomplished another code scann and live data stream on the car and the #1 and #2 quad drivers are still readin as bad.
