Engine list.

I was trying to find some specific motors for my kits and i was just wondering if anyone has a compiled list of model car kits that come with a detailed motor?

I know that the Tamiya R32 Skyline comes with the RB26DETT, AMT Veilside Supra comes with a 2jzgte motor how about others? american, european, japanese i think a list of these motors and what kits to buy to get the motors would be helpful.

That would be an interesting thread! It would help everyone increase the knowledge of both the real cars and their model form, given that all the info for each car are correct.

Make it into a list, sort by manufacturer and with subsections with I4, V6, RE etc and provide engine code, displacement, scale, available on which kit, and so on. Add comments beside them if available, such as period of production(either the real one or the plastic one), bad fitment on certain parts, etc.

I am just making a suggestion but it is up to the higher level users in this forum to decide if we should have this depository or not.

nice, the only american model i've made was a NASCAR truck when i was 13-14yrs old and it didn't have a motor =\ but thats good to know that most american model cars that are produced come with motors. is there a certain company to stick too in regards to quality, accuracy etc.?

yah, actually if you read someone said that a lot of the american muscle cars come with motors...i asked which ones specifically but no one has replied.

don't forget the newer fujimi ae86 with the 4age engine. the initial-D version comes with the same engine but they slap on a 4age 20 valve silvertop valvecover on it.
