Ignition Switch? Heat?

Ok so i recently started to have a problem with what I believe to be my ignition switch. When I start my car it starts just fine but when i move the cylinder back to the run position the car instantly dies. If I wiggle around the key I can get the dummy lights to come and they will stay on untill i start, then move back to run. My question is what do you think I need to replace? The switch/pigtail, cylinder, or the module? It seems to me to be something mechanical and not electronic.
Also on another note...my heat doesn't work it just blows luke warm after about 25-30 min of running. The temp gauge goes to normal but no heat. I have replaced the thermostat, and flushed the rad and core. Just wondering if there is anything common that fails on the crx's
Thanks in advance

The hose is probably plugged to your heater core. My buddies accord was plugged solid, disgusting really. And we only found it after the hose sprung a leak. He neglected to tell me he never had heat until that day. As for the ignition if it truly is shutting everything off immediately after moving to run then itll be the switch behind the ignition. Because you say the key turns.

Get a used switch from the yard. Make sure to get the key that goes with it too. Feel the heater hoses in the engine bay and see if both of them are hot. Something is probably clogged like frodo said.

As long as nothing has been messed with then that should be it..OR the cables that open the valve are disconnected. You can see the valve on the hose coming out of the firewall behind the engine.

Thanks every one As far as the heat goes, I don't think the heater core is blocked I ran water with a hose through and it passed in the top and out the bottom. And the Key I guess my best bet is to get the whole assy. pigtail, ig cyl and everything.

Well like Frodo said, if your key it turning fine, its probably just the end of the ignition switch. Take the panels off from around the steering column and look at the back of your ignition switch, take the 1 or 2 screws out of the back of it(where all the wires are coming from). From there, get a flat head screw driver and turn the slot on the other side, start the car and see what happens when you turn it back to ON, if it dies and you can wiggle it to get your lights back on, thats the culprit, just replace it with a new one(junk yard or wherever). Doing it this way, you will keep your key, just replace the switch itself.

You won't need the pigtail.. you only need the lock cylinder, and the switch that goes behind the lock cylinder down to the pigtail... in fact, that's probably what the actual problem is, the switch behind the lock cylinder. if it feels like a positive engagement in each position, then change the switch behind the lock cylinder.

I wasnt saying the heater core itself was plugged, I was talking about an actual rubber coolant hose
