Engine Problems

I have a 2001 Chev. Silverado. I turned on the truck and the engine turned over, but then very quickly died. I turned it on again pressed the gas and the engine would rev as long as I held the pedal dawn a little. I was able to drive home, but at any intersection where I took my foot of the gas the engine would fade and die. I would have to restart the truck and get my foot to the pedal. Ideas?

You may have water in the gas. Put a bottle of gas line antifreeze in the tank and see if that helps with the stalling.

That is a sign of a TPS (throttle position sensor) or the like.

pull the vacuum line off of your Fuel pressure regulator, if fuel comes out, change the regulator.

My 2002 silverado did the exact same thing, pulled into a store and it ran fine, went to start it back up and I noticed my bat light was lit and tried to press the accelerator and I got nothing, I had to hold the gas at every intersection till I got home and then it started to idle on its own.

Check the IAC. Both the actuator and the passage. Take the IAC off and watch the plunger as you turn the key on and off. It should move. Also make sure the passage isn't blocked.
