Aftermarket Headlights for 94

A few years back, I replaced the original headlights (which were always lousy anyway) on my old Dakota pick-up because the lenses had gotten really bad. The aftermarket ones that I installed were really no better than the originals but at least the lens's are clear. I've adjusted them many times and also installed a pair of 50 watt driving lights. My problem is that my 16 year old son now drives the truck and even with high beams and the driving lights on the visibility with the thing just sucks. The truck's got aprox. 170K miles on it so I'm not looking to spend a ton of money but I need something that's street legal and will do a decent job of illuminating the roadway.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

I'd grab a set of bright fog lights, they'll help some and you can get them pretty cheap.

the lights are pretty bad on my 00 dakota so i drive with my 2 lower foglights on it really helps you see the road better.

as far as the yellow thing...
I was told (and can't guarantee that it will work)...
But take an old toothbrush and toothpaste and clean the lights with it... it is supposed to be able to restore the clearness and get rid of the dingy yellow.

depending on how bad the lenses are, get 2000 grit wet sand paper and wet sand the surface, second get a product from 3M Headlight restorer kit, and buff out the headlight, third after those two processes spray the lenses with clearcoat after the light is cleared. also there is a kit sold at walmart for aproximatly 20 dollars and should be able to do both lights
