91 chevy silverado

I took apart the tilt steering column because there was movement.(up and down) All I had to do is tighten two bolts. The problem I am having is trying to keep the mechanisim that controls and the high beams and the blinkers keep falling out. I cant find a way to hold it in. Any ideas?
