Painting Dash Trim

Does anyone know if the dash trim is paintable? A body shop couldn't tell me. They said some of the plastics dont adhere the paint.

It should be fine as long as you sand and prime it and give it a few coats of clear coat. I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about or not, but here's what mine looks like...

yes they are. i use to have them painted all the time.i dont no why body
shop said they sometimes are not.using the trim/body codes i never had
a problem.
