Hi
I just test drove a 2001 Civic (Manual) with 75K mles on it. It had a really smooth engine, the clutch made no noises and the gears shifted smoothly. The only problem I felt was when I put it on 1st gear and moved from a stopping position. Moving forward was sluggish and I had to give it quite a bit of gas (as if the parking brakes were on). There was no such problem after I moved to 2nd or higher gears.
Can you suggest what caused it?
