No electrical when I turn off engine

Don't know if anyone have this problem, but I searched the forums and can't find it. Maybe I'm using the wrong key words.

But my friend has a 95 milly and suddenly 1 day when he turns the engine off, the entire car has no power. He would have to turn it back to the on position and power lock the doors then turn it off to power lock all the doors.

Since it completely turns everything off when it's in the off position, everything goes to default when he starts the engine. The a/c is on at a default temp and all.

I'm thinking there is some sort of a remote power cable that rusted off or something, like what the car radios uses.

Does anyone know where and/or what is disconnected. I'm thinking it's a cable.:screwy:
