pair of professionally built 2.8/3.1 GM cylinder heads. Heads fit 1985 - 1992 GM V-6. Casting numbers can be either: 651 / 696 / 511 , these numbers all interchange.
These heads are thoroughly cleaned and inspected then they were pressure tested to ensure no cracks or leaks. After that was we replaced the stock guides with new guides. The valve jobs was performed on either a Serdi or Sunnen machine. CBN milled to ensure straightness within .0015" and correct finish. All machine work performed on the latest state of the art equipment. All parts are thoroughly cleaned and inspected before assembly. Also these heads were assembled with new valve seals. These heads

Those are aluminum heads, and will NOT "fit" Fiero. While they will bolt to the block, the water pump/timing cover system required for them will not physically fit in the Fiero body. The right-side strut tower is in the way. There's also not enough room for the plenum and intake that goes with those heads, and the iron-headed version is completely different. Ask me how I KNOW this...

I usually don't get into these kinds of issues, but NO, those ARE aluminum, and it has NOTHING to do with the photo. CORRECT information is paramount here.

The casting numbers supplied, the angle of the valves and studs, the way the runners are spaced... Need I go on? These ARE NOT IRON HEADS!

ALL Fiero heads were iron. The valves have a "zero" angle (both intake and exhaust are the same, and paralell with the bore). The common casting for Fiero was "884" (last three digits). SOME were the 457. Those are the large valve, iron 2.8/3.1/3.4 head. Fiero didn't get the small valve heads.

Please, if you want to hawk your wares here, at least be certain of your information. Actually, the "classifieds" section would be the appropriate place, but accurate info is still required. If you bought these heads based on those claims, and are simply repeating what you were told, stand corrected.

Save any future argument about what the heads are or are not. You're dealing with a "legal expert" with 30 years in the automotive field. I've built about 150 2.8s and 3.1s, both iron and aluminum headed versions. We've even built an iron-headed one that made 220 horsepower with a hydraulic cam and Fiero induction/exhaust. THAT little P-body would SCOOT! (see the connection between Fiero and "Mr. P-Body"?)

PAX

Jim
