'96 Tahoe ABS problem

I ran my 96 Tahoe with a warped left front rotor for a couple of months before my wife would give me money to fix it (did I say that out loud?).
I replaced the left rotor, pads, rear shoes and a couple of rusted lines.
Now the ABS triggers when I stop normally as soon as I slow to 10 mph. If I brake hard, the ABS won't kick on and I can stop fine. If I slow to 10 mph, then take my foot off the pedal for a split second and then re-apply the brakes, again it stops with no ABS. All this is on dry pavement.
Does it sound like I rattled the sensor or reference ring loose? Does anyone have info on what the sensor or reference ring would look like when they're in good condition (for reference).
Thanks.

If your '96 is anything like my '97, don't pull the ABS fuse and drive the vehicle. When I did it, I eliminated the pulsing problem of the ABS, but the computer sent out a bunch of other codes (none of which had anything to do with the brakes), that would'nt reset until I put the fuse back in. Try pulling the sensors and cleaning any rust from where the sensors mount, and see if the problem goes away. Mine did.

ABS is great if you have extra distance to stop..for the most part it sucks
