3.4 engine coolant path

Took apart my 3.4 engine because of gaskets. My plenum has four openings for coolant. Two of these openings don't go anywhere and the other two are open. How does coolant circulate through the block if these other two aren't open? I guess my main question is what is the coolant path for this engine.
