ATC Blower Motor Connector?

My son is away at college and he just called frantic and hot. He was having problems with his blower motor on his 98 GP GT earlier which turned out to be a loose or bad connector. He said that when it would stop he would need to reach under the passenger side and wiggle the wires and it would start running. It seems that the connedtor was lose enough to create heat and melted the connector badly to where it no longer works.

I am not there so my question is: is the connector built into the blower motor? I suggested that he just get a three pin connector from the auto parts store and splice it in but he said that he thinks it is mounted hard on the motor housing or some plastic piece.

Anyone have a pic of what the setup looks like? He has ATC.

One side of the connector is built into the blower motor assembly. The source or input comes from the blower motor control module since he has the ACC climate control unit. See pics below.

It seems that the connector on the blower motor isn't melted since the blower looks like it only has 2 wires and the connector he described has 3 wires (the green one is the one melted). Maybe it's the one going into the module. Do you know if the motor has 2 or 3 wires for ATC?
