i wanted to make my tiburon a FR car and everything iv looked on the web and havent found anything on it and i kinda dont know that much about it in the first place, im gunna drive my engine till it is about to die anyways. or till i f**k it up, but i want to get ideas or anything on it. and what would be the best way to go. im not talking about engins that i cant get my hands on but something that most ppl that work and have decent jobs can afford but is still good. anyone have any ideas?
my car is an 08 so i hope that might help out a lil bit so u dont think its an 02 or 00 or sumtin like that. i joke about putting a turbo charged porsche gt3 engine in my car but lol like id have the money for that one ;)

swapping a FWD into a RWD is one hell of a job, you have LOTs and LOTS of custom work to do so it can work ... it would be cheaper to just sell the car next year and buy the RWD 2009 Tiburon with the V8 !!!!

lol and its 2010 from what i hear about it. and i get what ur saying jal but heres the thing i only want a v6 v8 cost to much gas and if anything goes wrong it cost to much untill i get a decent job i wouldent be able to afford it. also heres another thing...that car will be set up for that and have more weight in the back then a regular FF car, ;) :naughty: so i mean it would spin out a lil faster which for me is a good thing cause i like drifting!! lol plus i dont like the new body style...its almost liek it but they are changing the name to a diffrent one i heard so....i think its genisis or sumtin like that.

true it's 2010 (sorry fo rthe confusion) dunno about the name change but you could just buy the base model (4cyl turbo) :D
Anyway, go ahead if you want but it's a lot of fabrications and the usuall cost to swap a FWD to a RWD is around 20-40k

as i go on ill debate on it cause i know u know what ur talking about. but i mean if ya look at it from my point of view say u got a dodge charger pull up to u and he's pushing around 500hp and i have my car and i have the conversion to it and im pushing around 400, 450hp ill be able to hold if not beat him cause my cars lighter he has to tug around that cars weight and all i have is a 2000 lb car(i know thats not the right weight) you get what im saying :) i know about the weight reductions and all but im not to big of a fan on what they do. besides i want the hp and the sound system in my car and most systems are a lil heavy :) anyways do u know of any v6's i should take a look at that are putting out some hp and have some good mod's i can do to it?

well 450 RWD hp won't help you more than 450 FWD hp.
From what I understand you have the 2.0l ?
Because you could always get the V6 2.7l from the Tuscani/Sonata, it'll fit bolt-on in the engine bay and you'll have 175hp/180lb/tq to start with.
After that you can put a custom turbo kit or the NGM supercharger and have a 300whp Tiburon that will kick lots of ass!!! lolll
BTW your Tib is around 2500lbs ;)
If you know mechanic a little you can build your own turbo kit and it'll be cheaper and more reliable than a kit you can buy online!
the main parts of my custom build turbo kit (bought everything myself but it's not installed yet)
- Rebuild engine (mine have around 130k miles and is not in shape to handle a turbo) 1000$
- Used 14b turbo with oil lines 100$
- Used turbo manifold 50$
- Brand new 42lbs Siemens injectors 300$
- Fidanza Light flywheel 350$
- Custom made clutch (can hold 400lb/tq) 250$
- Ebay intercooler kit with charge pipe 350$
- ebay BOV 75$
- Megasquirt standalone 250$
- Used intake CAM (bit more agressisve) 60$
- Ported Intake manifold (from a local shop) 200$
- Wideband kit for tuning (used 200$)
- Custom made 2.5 inches "turbo back" exhaust (not made yet, around 600$)
So for 4000$ I have a custom turbo kit made by myself and friends that should give me around 275whp easilly...

well then if anything i want to get the v6 in my car and get rid of the 2.0l 4 banger not that i have anything against it but i want my car to have a lil more power i was wanting to get a lil bit around 550-600 but i knwo that wont happen with a hyundai engine well the 4 banger. and the other thing is that i like rwd cars and i think i might take ya up on ur idea but i wont trade in my car. ill just do a swap for the v8 to my lil car :) its still a hyundai made engin which is what im really looking for so i can show that hyundai can make a good engine and not some glance at and say it dosent have anything thing going on. u know what i mean. plus like i said i like RWD vechs better i dunno iv been like that since i was little....although i still like my car being a FWD a lil its a toss up. i still want the RWD more but i mean if i cant do it ill get the v6 that comes wit my car so its all good. it might not be RWD but its better than a 2.0l and i was close with 2000k lol :)
although i think the v6 would be a lil better for me expence wise but we will see how everything is played out...im not getting rid of ur idea but just saying, ill see how things play out....do u know how much hp i can get on the v6 2.7l?

don't know how much hp you can squeeze out of the V6 but I've seen 600whp 4cyl. !!! :D
The bottom end of the Beta is "semi-forged" so in stock mode it can old up quite a lot of boost and abuse, so I guess that the Delta can also hold quite a load of boost.
Might be able to get around 350whp with the stock engine, lower compression pistons and forged rods could get you in the 500-600hp range. But you'll need the money to support that kind of modifications!
EDIT : the Tiburon will not change it's name, the Genesis name you heard of is in fact the luxury sedan Hyundai is building, it'll be RWD and it will share its frame with the Tiburon.

0o well i guess thats good...i still dont like the newer style unless it changes...since i know they tend to do it. its still a concept car so. anyways. do u mean 600hp out of a tiburon 4 cyl? cause damn that shit needs to be on the internet. cause even the ppl who make it cant get that high the only 2 vech with a 4 cyl i know that can get that high is the evo, civic. well and i guess the 240 but i think thats a v6. anyways shit if u find out that it is a 4 cyl let me know. i was also wondering if i do a 4-2-1 exaust and then split it off to make it look like a duel would that affect the sound and give a lil extra hp or no? i know i still need a high flow cat and all.
