I generally use about 150-200% of the RMS value and just watch the gains

sorry, i dont really understand the whole thing yet, so could you explain to me what the rms value is and what it means to gain?

Rms is what the subs sohuld see daily but not there peake. I think the epak would be somewhere close to 1500 watts. Gain is what you use to match the HU to the subs and keep the power to the subs down. What type of price range are you looking at for the amp.

get the audiobahn amp. i didnt go look at those subs so i dont know which ones they are but my buddy has 2 12" flamw Q's running on the 1300 Audiobahn amp (underpowered) n they HIT. hes getting the 2200 soon :) we have getting a custom box built today as well. ill have pics soon. just got with an audiobahn amp, they make good shit.

I would suggest a jbl amp. There are a couple that are in your price range that could power those subs
