Radiator fan still not working

My 98 voyager overheated/coolant leak last month, got the radiator and lower hose replace, backed on street last week, I checked the radiator fan, it came on about 1-2 mins later when I turned on the AC, I thought it might be ok, at least both fans working. Unfortunately last friday traffic hours overheated again on the freeway, coolant overflow, called AAA to tow it back home. I found out the fans never turned on without AC. I thought the low speed fan may not working, disconnect the coolant temp sensor, both fans turn on right away, stupid question...would it be bad if I just leave the coolant temp sensor disconnect? leave the fan turn on/off with the engine? I read the other thread, the temp guage uses a separate temp sensor, but when I disconnect the coolant temp sensor, the temp guage would not work as well. the guage temp only reach 1/4 high and will not go beyond

Leaving the sensor disconnected till you get it fixed is fine. It may overcool but that's better than overheating.

I can't tell you how many people I know who are replacing the fan relays right now.
I just completed my replacement a few weeks ago, and my experience is in this thread...

Post #8 is the beginning of the actual problem and resolution...
Good luck! that relay is about $45 US at O'Reilly's.

Been a while since I dealt with this system but, I think you can assume the relay is good if the fans turn on when you turn on the A/C. Two inputs to the PCM turn on the fans, the A/C "on" button and the coolant temp sensor. Both of these outputs leave the PCM on a single wire to the relay. Sounds like a bad coolant temp sensor or sadly an internal PCM failure. Yes no?

Actually the relay was replaced about 2 months ago, got it for $56 from pepboys, and today I just bought a coolant temp sensor for $19.99 also from pepboys, will install it tomorrow, hope this will be final fixed. I have already used up all AAA free tow in 2 months, next time will be charge $8 per miles

Unitl now the coolant fan system still doesn't work all the time. I am worrying it will overheated again when the weather get warmer, have anyone try 'Electric Fan Wiring Kits & Senders" products from jegs?

any fan wiring kit product recommend for 98 plymouth voyager 3.3?

What do you mean it doesn't work all the time ? The fans don't come and stay on, they are governed by the temp sensor . Once the coolant hits a certain temp the fans should come on until the temp lowers enough to shut off the fans . Normally the fans should come on around the mid point on the guage or just slightly above mid point .

what I mean is when I check the fan at home, I left the engine running about 15 mins, the coolant fans turn on(without turn on AC), everything seems doing good, but once a while when I back home, the coolant is boiling and fan not running at all.
