ive got an 03 gt, and lately ive been having a problem with the rear defrost. I found that the drivers side connecter was broken off (someone must have bumped it and made it snap off) so i bought a kit and glued it back on. I used my multimeter to make sure it made a good connection on the glass, and it did. But now the defrost doesnt do what its supposed to do... defrost.
I've checked the fuse, its good. The 2 connectors on the passenger side of the glass get 12v when it is turned on, and the drivers side gets a good ground. From what i could see and tested, there is no breaks in the glass.
I really need this fixed seeing as its that time to use it. Anyone have any ideas of what i could check next?

It sounds you still have a problem with the connector or the grid. You can ohm out the grid to see if there is continuity. A break may not be visible to the eye. Just out of curiosity when you press the rear defogger button does the light stay on for the initial 10 minutes or so?

yes, it stays on for its cycle, or whatever you would like to call it. I guess my next option would be to solder a wire to that side of the glass, attach it to ground, and then see if it works. If it does, then i know its a problem with the existing ground wire.
