What is the size of the exhaust piping on a 97' Eclipse GS? Is it 2 inch? And is it possible to put a 2.5 inch muffler on 2inch exhaust?

I have a 98' eclipse gs and i have a OBX cat-back exhaust..3' piping and it gives u 20hp..10 by the muffler and 10 by the piping to the cat..nice sound or should i say excellent sound:flipa:
