92 Taurus ignition?

Hi, I have a 92 Taurus and when the ignition key switch is off the radio and lights on the window switches stay on. The key switch is loose so I removed it. When i turn it off and on with a screwdriver the radio still stays on. My question is if I purchase a new one will this fix the problem or should I tear apart the whole colum and replace the switch as well?

Do the radio and switch lights stay on even after a door is opened? If so, I agree with you, the problem is probably the ignition switch in the column, not to be confused with the key cylinder switch.

Yes they all do. Thanks for the reply I will replace the switch while I have it torn down.
