Buying an '01 Venture

I found an '01 Venture I'm interested in buying, but it's got over 170K miles and I want to know about any mechanical issues anyone's come across for that year. I just got rid of a '96 Grand Caravan that had serious transmission problems. I only recently found out the issue was pretty common that year.

Any input's greatly appreciated.

Main thing to look for is the intake gasket leak. With that many miles on it I would guess it may have been taken care of as this problem usually manifests itself before 100,000 miles , although I've seen some start just before 130,000 miles. The next "major" issue these vans have are electrical related , such as malfunctioning switches, power sliding door, rear wiper, etc. Do you have access to any maintenance records? That cold shed some light on how well the van was taken care of.
