Removing relays from 2001 fuse box

How do you remove the relays from the fuse box in the engine compartmentof a 2001 ZX. It seems like there is a black plastic piece around all the relays that hold them in place.

Try to wiggle them both ways they are tight but they come out.

just be easy with them cause you can be too persistent and just the 'cover' of the relay will come off (done that by accident once)

Anybody know if the removal of the relays is the same for a 98 Escort?

The relays are made the same way 4 to 6 prongs they plug in like a household electrical plug. The tool companies make special pliers for this but you can remove them with your fingers. Just wiggle back and forth.

yes, dont waste your money on that tool. if need be LIGHTLY grab it with a set of pliers and wiggle it if you cant remove it with your hands
