im fixing up a 94 rs that i have sitting around, i found a z28 in the junkyard, can i take the rearend off of that with the diff and the disk breaks and swap into my car. will i need any extra parts or can i just bolt it right on?

Should be a direct swap. But check the gears that are in the Z28 rear differential first. If there the same as yours (I believe you have 3:23's) then you're good to go. If they're higher or lower, then you have a problem. By swapping in different gear ratio's it alters the speedometer. Most people can tune their computer to change the settings, but with the 3.4 it's not as easy since you can't tune the computer without mailing it off to have it tuned, which will run ya about $300. So it's best to stay with the same gear ratio, unless you don't mind your speedo being off and the odometer racking up more miles than it should.
Other than that, you will need the whole rear axel/differential assembly, the brake lines going to the rear, the calipers, and the e-brake cables. Basically anything that is connected to the rear housing you will need.
