Wheel hub help?
10-20-2007, 02:46 PM
Gave my daugter my 96 Sebring Conv as incentive to finish school and earn a living.
Used it to run friends all over for nickel and dime.
Ran the wheels off it literally.
Said wheel was wobbling a little bit. Next day I saw he for a bit and she never mentioned it. I had forgotten about it after all it was her problem.
Next night she calls from shopping mall and says the wheel it wobbling real bad.
I told her DO NOT MOVE IT Jack it up and tell me what you see.
She called back later and said two lug nuts left and the car is at her friends house.
I bit my tung and told her to LEAVE IT i'll come in the morning. She did.
She had no choice by then.
Drilled for a while and rim came off. Unharmed. Wow that dont happen often.
Told her she was lucky not to have to buy a rim. Then I saw what the loose lugs had done on the way to her friends.
Came round and wacked heads off wheel hub bolts. Rather it had been the rim but I'd rather have Brittany be more responsible too. Not that easy.
Anyway I'm feeling better. Got it out. Millions of Dad's out there in same Boat
I have no manual here. She doesnt know where the one I bought her is.
If some one knows where a link to this procedure is I sure could use it to read up.
I think there is some pressing involved so I'm thinking the whole assembly comes out and can then be taken and pressed in. I sure hope so.
Dr Phil would have jumped by now. I'm going to keep bailing water like I
do and will continue to do for as long as it takes. AHHHHHHHHHH
Thanks and Good Luck
