1988 b2200 repair manual recommendations

This is my first post and I am also very new to the world of automotive "do-it-yourselfing." I am interested in buying a repair manual and hope that ya'll can give me some advice. I have looked through the Haynes repair manual for Mazda pickups and was not impressed. Seems that the text is very nonspecific. So, I'm thinking of maybe trying to get a 1988 Mazda B2200 B2600 Factory Shop Service Manual. Perhaps, though, that would have too much detail for a moderately mechanically inclined individual? I want to get the detail to see me through repairs and diagnostics without being bogged down with minutiae. One thing that I do want is something with very detailed specifications for my truck. I tried for several hours yesterday to find the PSI rate for the fuel pump on my truck and could not get it anywhere :disappoin . Was not a happy camper. Thanks for your opinions on this subject.

I have '88 B2200, and the factory manual. In some areas it is OK, and some areas are lacking. For example, within the last 6 months I've replaced my power steering pump, and the power brake booster, and all the book shows is "remove in numerical order shown", no info whether the PS pump comes out through bottom, or top after moving AC compressor. For the booster, info said to remove the master cylinder lines, but that wasn't necessary, so I didn't even need to bleed the brakes after. And none of the books recognize that the trucks might have air conditioning. For my Nissan Frontier, I have the Haynes manual, but that's just worse (to remove the starter, doesn't say whether it comes out top or bottom (it comes out the side after removing RF wheel, same for oil filter). So I'd say factory manual, and post your questions here or at mazdatruckin.com, because someone will have done the job already, and can help.
