This kit turned out to be a nightmare on the decal side, but otherwise it went together without any major problems. My intention was to build this out of the box, with the exception of after market decals and a very nice looking Scale Motorsport 1/20 harness. The body was sanded down and sprayed with Tamiya white surface primer. The infamous semi-fluorescent red was replicated by mixing one part TS-49 Bright Red to one part TS-36 Fluorescent red, sprayed with an airbrush of course. I wanted to create the Marlboro livery with after market decals, so I purchased the Studio 27 Hi-Tech decals from HLJ. This turned out to be a big mistake. When I went to remove the carrier film some of the decals lifted with the film, resulting in split/spotty decals that I eventually cleaned up with some isopropyl alcohol. I put the kit on the back burner for a few months, and finally broke down and bought a Tabu decal sheet. I must say that the results were much better. I don\'t think I was properly prepared for the Hi-Tech decals.

That looks like a nice car, but... on the rearwing you got the "5" and on the nose the "6". Quite odd ;)

Nice work!
That car looks so refreshing and clean compared to todays winglet cluttered messes.

OM*G! No way that's a model!!!
Come on tell us... what did you did? Photoshoped the real car over a garden table or what... I just can't belive it.
Jokes aside I think you did an excellent work, just over the top. Congrats!

LOL. I can't believe I didn't notice this! :banghead: I guess I can live with it since it's a minor error, but thanks for pointing it out. From now on I'll convince myself that Schumacher and Irvine shared this car.
