roadracemotorsports.com is a decent company with almost everything you could want for your lancer including turbo kit. They just recently released forged pistons which is a good deal but their turbo kits are a complete waste. their 4 grand with all necessary hardware but you only get 6 lbs. of boost. don't waste your money:smoker2:

in my opinion it is NOT a waste . . . right now there is no turbo kit for the lancer that gives more than 6 psi of boost . . . you can up the boost to about 12 psi, but only if you upgrade your internals (pistons, rods, etc . . .) its all about money and that's it. i know a guy with the rrm turbo kit. all his car has is the turbo kit, catback exhuast (with test pipe), intake, (note he does not have the rrm LSD, which will be alot better for traction and launch) and his car is doing 14.6 in the 1/4 mile. he just got the newly released rrm header, so his time should be better next time . . .

I've driven a RRM TC'd Lancer. I suggest you drive one before you condemn it. It's everything you need for boost. It's more or less idiot proof for a somewhat experienced and halfway intelligent tuner. The car is QUICK. You will never understand how short your gears are and how little grip you have until you run boost. The two boosted Lancers in my area are making in the area of 180WHP and allegedly more than 200WHP (a hybrid RPW/custom and the RRM respectively) and their 1/4 mi times are nothing too impressive. Both are tuned but neither near their potential. The only reasons for the relatively slow times (mid 14's) are traction, traction, and traction. With good tires and LSD's they'd likely be running in the 13's without breaking a sweat.
EDIT: What, swift. You think I only whore it up on LF? :hehe: What up?

Thanks Hobie! Guess I found a new crew. Being home, sick has given me a chance to surf! Now anyone with questions? Let me know. Our turbo is impressive. Only limitation on it are Mitsubishi's motor. On the other hand we have run 10 psi and no problems. We learn more stuff everyday and our turbos keep getting faster and faster.

Haha, welcome aboard, Rob. This forum hasn't been enlightened yet. Spread your wisdom. ;)
With forged pistons you could probably push about 10psi, but my main concern would be our long, brittle con rods. The pistons would address the narrow ring land issue, but that's only part of the problem.
Anyway, Road Race Motorsports has built up a huge rep working with Lancers to the point where I'm sick of hearing it. Rob and Gabriel and the whole RRM crew have done for us what others wouldn't and busted their asses to do things right. Function is key for them and they do their own R&D and manufacturing so they can keep costs down and produce a quality product. Truth be told they've built a rep so good that I'm sick of hearing about it, but I have to say it's one they've worked to earn and it is not ill deserved.
