low coolant

i put a thermostat in my 2001 ss and now the low coolant light comes on ,it doesn,t say on long ,but it comes on ever time i start the car ,it will go off in about 3 or 4 miles ,does that need to be reset or what .

Did you fill the radiator back up when you finished putting in the new thermostat?

thats my first guess too. But his light went away, the systems slowly work the air out themselves..... thats probably what happened.

i would try checking all of the hoses to see if one may be leaking. is there a puddle under the car?
