but I FINALLY got the Nova dialed in! And you probably want believe what the problem was. Low on transmission fluid :banghead:. Had the wrong type dipstick in the car (did not realize that untill 2 Saturdays ago, lol). I'm so relieved, lol.
Anyways, its good to be back. I've been gone for awhile. Had computer trouble and just been real busy. But here's my runs from 10/6/2007. Went 5 rounds and had the most success that I've ever had with this car. And this makes 1 year and 1 month since its been mine, lol. Discovered the tranny fluid low after the 1st round time trial and you can see the difference in the car.

LOL. I'm just glad that I can still red light!! Sounds stupid to say that, but you just have to realize that I've spent the last year not being able to even get close to cutting a good reaction time. I could cut an .06xx light, take out of my delay box and come back with an .07xx lol.
The way we cured that little problem was moving my trans. brake button up on the dash, which makes me have to stretch my right arm out to hold it, which is what I was used to in Casper (my other car that I learned out to drive in). In this car, it was over beside the gear shifter which was just really wierd. I thought I could get used to it, but never did. Oh well. I got it back now. Those last 3 reaction times, I had .995, .998, and .998 in that order in my delay box. I did miss the middle of those runs slightly-not enough to really lose the race though, but the sun was out really bright and it was beaming down on the tree.

BTW....I finally bracket raced.
Kicked in the first round. Beat at the light...no surprise.
Went 12.11 on a 12.05 dial. Outdialed the other guy, but I wasn't ready for the different timed lights.
If I red light...it is by a very small amount. But for the most part...I am sleeping (not snoring) at the light. .250-.350 most of the time. But seeing as I am normally just dialing the launch RPM in, it doesn't matter to me.

Well thats cool. Its a lot different watching the tree come down at different times. And its really hard to watch the other guy leave and you still having to set there. I dont get to do taht much, but it does happen.
Its equally as hard though going almost to the finish line before you ever can see the other car. This happens to me a lot. Because when you're dialed in 6.80 or so, and you're racing a guy dialed 4.80, then you're not going to see him untill right at the finish line, and then he literally blows by you.
You just have to get into a routine in order to cut a good light though. I mean once you get the car to where you want it, that would be a lot easier. But since you're still trying to get faster, then I can see where it would make getting into a routine harder. Its almost impossible to cut a good light when you're worrying about what your car is going to do. Believe me! I know. Two weeks ago was the first time since I've had the car that I actually felt like I could win a round, lol.
