Car Stats: 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT v6
For the past couple of days my car has been hesitating when i press the gas. After the slight hesitation it accelerates, then sometimes hesitates again, or doesnt accelerate like usual. Also when i try and floor it, the engine reves up high, but it doesnt accelerate like it usually would. I am not sure if its the transmission fluid, because i cant check it. its in a sealed compartment. or maybe the fuel pump is going out. any suggestions? :banghead:

Welcome to AF!!
Based on your description it sounds like you have a transmission issue. Possibly low fluid or it could be an internal problem. Take the car to a transmission shop and have them check it for you.

All you need is an O2 sensor wrench and hand tools. There should be one on the downpipe in back of the engine and one after the cat.
