Hi my name is shawn,
I recently bought a standard 1996 Mustang with a V6 in great shape. I was thinking og swaping the V6 for a 5.0 V8. I was wondering if anyone has done this or knows someone who has done this. I know it would fit but i wanted to find out if i would have to buy alot of other parts to replace them from the V6. I also was wondering if i would get into problems with the computer or not. I think the Transmission may bolt up with a V8 but not really sure. If swaping it out for a V8 would really be too money and not worth it because at the moment i am in college don't have a whole lot of money. I plan on keeping it for a while so maybe if it was too much money and just do it in the future. I also had an idea of buying another V6 from a scarp yard and makeing that faster and add abunch of stuff to that. I would like some kind of advice anything at all would help. Prices too if you could and im open to any ideas also.
Thanks Shawn

If you're in college, I don't think it would be worth it if money is tight. But definately check out supersixmotorsport.com, they have a bunch of engine mods for the 3.8L.

However, if you're really set on having a V8, and I can understand the appeal, go for it! (I just think it might be very expensive and difficult)
