Test drove a GSX last night...wtf

Well , I am picking up my car today from the shop. Finally have a reliable transmission..stock blew - race built blew - lets see if this one treats me better. Anyways , Last night I was out and about after signing the final papers for my car and on my way home I spotted a red eclipse out of the corner of my eye in one of those hector's auto shop places for sale.

So being a turbo lover I popped in just for the hell of it and looked around seen like 2 1G's and 3 2g's in the mix as well covered by the street shown cars and I was like "What the fuck , why this guy have like 6 eclipse up in here.." so after talking to him a bit I guess he goes to police auctions and the state auctions and picks them up cheap.

The red eclipse I had noticed earlier was sparkling clean , leather in perfect condition , look under her dress and the engine was spotless but the car had 165,000 miles on it...so I was debating whether or not to give it a test drive and this dude just tossed me the keys , grabbed a dealer plate off the car next to it and jumped in the passanger seat ...I was like dope =)

It was cold around 40 degrees , rainy , the car was a gsx awd turbo ..little did I realize at first it was an auto =( however after letting it reach normal operating temperature , I decided to give it just a little more push and see what the gsx hype was all about as myself a FWD lover.

Well I was let down in an instant , it takes off extremely slow for a car with a turbo , it felt heavy as shit like the car didnt have the appropriate power to be moving it , the handling wasn't that mych better than my RS-T and I think Pedro noticed it and said if you want give it a good run and lets head back. So naturally I did , mashed the pedal to the floor , the car made horrible horrible sounds like something from the underworld was going to pop out through the floorboards , the transmission whined like a crack addict needing a fix , the turbo spooled but seemed like it was only 3 - 4 PSI , the RPM's stayed around 6 K for every gear before shitting very hard into the next after a few seconds of 6 K , I asked the guy if there was any work done to the car and he says no..So i'm like "Great , what a deal..."

So my over all experience with a AUTO GSX was horrible =( sounded like a change jar rattling the entire time and really knocked the car down a notch or two for me in my book.I think my 180 HP mazda 6 auto moves better and faster than that auto gsx :(

I'm sure being an auto hurt performance a good bit, but its still an old ass car with alot of miles on it.

honestly dude, who fucken cares about you test driving an automatic car that is 12 years old and has some mechanical problems? Why do you feel the need to tell everyone. You could go and test drive a BMW that has motor problems but that doesn't mean all BMW's are shit, or that we care to hear that either.

A police auction car that runs like shit...I'm sure the former owner was a real winner.

One time I went to the junkyard and drove around a Corvette! The thing was slow and sluggish and everytime I shifted it made a klunka dunk sound! Man Corvettes are all be real big pieces of shit!

If you want to see what a GSX is capable of, go drive a real GSX not one that has been beaten like a crack whore.

I drove a Rs, to see how it compared to my GST theres quite a noticeable difference, obviously you drove a beater and it was an auto.

Mazdax, clearly you drove a very beat DSM. The first time I hopped into my stock Talon TSi AWD for its test drive, it blew me away at how powerful it was... You were introduced to DSM's by one that has been beaten its whole life... End of story... No more fighting guys... :nono:
