cooling system on my saturn

a few days ago it had a leak coming from the belt area.. my car has been over heating and ive been losing a lot of coolant. i just found out it was the water pump.. so i changed that. now im losing no coolant and my temperature gauge is never going past 3/4 of the way hot and the thermostat light comes on after about 10-15 minutes of running. i definately have no leak anymore but its still hot.. any suggestions?

could be air in the system, fans not coming on, temp sensor is bad....just to name a few

Temp gauge should never get past the 1/2 way mark. Thats when the fan is supposed to come on
