we've had alot of rain in the past few days and the water is so bad the carperts are soaked thru and thru,

i know there was a spot on the passenger side that needed to be sealed but can't seem to find that spot, also what about the driver side???

Have you been running the AC alot? If so get underneath the van and look for the down spout on the AC evaporator drain hose on the fire wall. You should see a rubber or plastic hose running down the firewall near the middle of the van. If not, the water may be coming in through the hole in the firewall for the evaporator drain. This happened to me and it soaked both passenger and driver side carpets.

You'll need to track this down quick since there is a lot of wiring under those carpets and you may wind up with shorts causing electrical problems, like door locks malfunctioning.

well actually i havn't used the A/C at all the only thing that gets used is the heat on the front window to clear it off in the morning unless this is using the A/C somehow??

maybe my issues with the code and water are all connected

when you use the defrost you are using the a/c sounds like the drain is stopped up. this is easiest to get at from the bottom look for a curved rubber hose pointing down on the passenger side about 6" from the exhaust pipe. also these vans have a potential to leak where the rubber molding goes across at the top of the windshield but it willmake it leak on the dic and upperconsole and down the center of the inside of the winshield. the drain hose just slips over a hard hose sticking about 3/4" out of the firewall and is almost impossible to get at from the top. good luck and let us know what you found

well not entirly sure its the evap drain hose, as for the past few days i havn't used the a/c or defrost/defogger, and the carpets are still soaked, still getting rain... but will check it out once it stops raining so i can get the van up on the ramps

i bet you're going to find that the windshield molding is leaking where it is sealed at the top[ where the rubber meets the metal on the top of windshield] when they install a windshield in these vans they put the rubber molding on the windshield all the way around it. then they put neoprene sealer around the winshield opening in the van and put the windshield in place and mash down and in on the windshield to get it to seal. the problem is that most places don't put alot of neoprene in the opening as if it oozes out and falls on the seats and carpet then they have to clean up a mess. then as the sun heats up and it cools down at night the seal gets broken and small leaks occur. simple solution to a leak that is at the top of molding is to get a small tube of neoprene and put a bead of it all the way across the top of the van where the rubber molding meets the metal top of the van. i even went down an inch on each side but you have to leave the water valley open on each side. just use a small flat bead on the sides. and you need to vaccumn the water out of each floor pan as the wires that operate the side doors, fuelpump, fuelgauge, reardoor and abs run in the floorpans and will short out or get corroded and not conduct current that goes through them. you only other option is to have the windshield pulled and reinstalled. good luck

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 99. The cabin filters were plugged. Look for them behind the glove box and above the duct for heat/ac
