hard shift 1-2 95 t/c

I just put a junk yard tranny in my 95 Town Car the last one was smoked this tranny has 73000 miles on it the only thing is that it shifts hard 1st to 2nd only the rest of the shifts are great some one told me that it could be the accumulatorand the springs how do you go about doing that if that is what it is HELP
