Hi, My name is Tara. I bought a 97 Intrepid in Feb of this year - great deal - $900. I have had no major issues with this car at all... until this morning:
Usually car starts with no problems... I attempted to start car and it cranked good - doesn't sound weird or anything. But does not start - stepped on accelerator (never have to do this) NOTHING HAPPENED...
Check engine light is not on - did the cycle through to see if there was any codes in there, but there are none.
In my uneducated car knowledge... is it possible the throttle cable is the problem?
If anyone has any suggestions of what to check that would be appreciated, thanks!
Tara
UPDATE**
Have found out that it is not throttle cable... but more than likely the fuel pump... could anyone tell me what that could cost to fix?

The fuel pump is not hard to replace. It is located via the trunk, under a small round plate. Remove the carpet and plate anad then you will see the top of the fuel pump. There is also a fuel pump relay (which would cause symptoms like yours).
Hope some of this helps.
