squeaky noise

i have been hearing a squeaky noise in the hatch area for a while now...it sounds like rubber on metal but i can't determine what it is.... i have removed the spare tire and all the plastic pieces that surround the spare and i still hear the noise..... i am starting to lean toward my strut bushings in the rear or the struts themselves but i don't know... what do you all think??

My rear hatch cover squeaks when I have it on. Try taking off the cover and see if the squeak continues.

Doh! was hoping it was something easy. Most common thing would be the strut mounts (bushings). What's rubber on metal sound like though lol, isn't that silent?
