gotta get this

i have an 84 cutlass 307. the car is not getting fuel to the carb. I changed the fuel pump and it still will not run. If i pour gas straight into the carb, it will only run long enough to used the gas in the carb (aprox 2 secs) what is the problem?

Welcome to AF, many things can cause this, a pinched or collapsed fuel line, there is a filter in the tank , there another filter in the carb inlet fitting also, I'd look at that first.
