Could it be a bad neutral switch?

Yellow guys,
Need your advice again. 94 GP se 3.1. Go to drive the car. turn the key to start the car. Nothing happens, no click, nothing. The lights on the dash are lighting up. Same thing when I try it in neutal. Tried about 5 or 6 times, nothing. Wait about 5 minutes and it starts right up. This has happened a few times in the past. What do you think could be the problem?
Neutral or ignition switch going bad? Starter? Thanks for any suggestions!!!

i think that its unlikely that a neutral switch wont start in both park and neutral, but possable i guess. Maybe its just misaligned.

Is the security light on? If so, it could be a key issue. If you have another spare key, try it first and/or try cleaning the resistor chip in your key. If not, you'll need to have the battery checked, as well as the condition of the cables. Another thing to check is that you're getting power to the "s" terminal on the solenoid when the key is in the start position. If you don't, it would indicate a bad neutral switch or ignition switch. The starter could also be the issue, but they normally won't start working after just sitting.
