The solenoid pack is attached to the valve body, remove trans pan to access.

The GM plastic intake manifold gasket strikes again. It can't be less expensive for the factory to buy than a paper gasket that lasts for decades so I guess there's another reason GM engineering put a plastic gasket on the lower intake manifold...planning for the future I guess, future gasket failures.
It put a Jeep Liberty in my yard.

Tell me it isn't so! I've had a few Jeeps from the '47 CJ-2 to the '57 CJ-7 but I gave up on the new Jeeps when they got bought by AMC and later Chrysler. You'd be better off buying an old Willy's rust bucket and building it back up than driving a Chrysler. Probably cost less too.

ok got the intake gasket changed (9 hrs)
finaly got to drive it after i changed out the shift solenoid b weeks before.
anyways i still get the 755 code and the car does not shift right when i first drive it,i dont know if when the car warms up or me shuting it off a few times is fixing it but it will work. just not all the time.
if i shut the car off for a few seconds it will start out in first gear and then it will (for lack of a better word ) pop out of first and go in to third. i shut the car off 3 times this morning one one my road,it started out fine then poped out, second time at atm started out fine then poped out, third time at gas station, it worked fine all the way to work. i wonder if its a loose connection. any idea?

Ok Eric, I'll 'fess up...we were looking for a replacement for the '97 Bravada and was looking at a '98. It had a junk transfercase that they wouldn't make me a swinging deal on so we looked at some other vehicles. I walked past the Liberty, looking at a coupla Rainiers, a Trailblazer and a Dodge SUV(I can't recall the name right now). After basically "striking out", I looked for my load leveler and she was still standing next to the Liberty:screwy: , so I asked if she was ready to leave and she said she liked the Liberty. Well long story short and 31 years of marriage...she got her Liberty. At least it has a real mechanical AWD and no vacuum lines...like an early Bravada.:naughty:

the 755 i think i seen here as solenoid b code so i might be wrong.

i do know that once the car warms up and i shut it off 1 time it will work fine.

Here's something that helped a trans problem I had once. I forget the DTC but the trans slipped like it had a race converter and the book said check the fuse then check for wires at the trans that might have nicked insulation...mine was fine.
Then the book said check the 20 wire connector on the passenger side of the transmission. Mine felt tight but I wiggled it tighter anyway. After resetting the DTC, I drove the car and the trans worked normally...for the next 7 years.

i had a similar issue, can't remeber the error code number, but took the transmision pan out and unbolted the next part up from that and took that into a transmission repair place. they told me they seen a lot of s-10's and bravadas with this issue. he took out a pin or solenoid out and reemed out the hole it went into and put in a stronger/bigger part in and its worked just fine since then. thats been 2ish years ago
