Drivers side window won't open

i have a 93 cutlass ciera and the passenger side window won't open. the other 3 work just fine the only thing is that i have to open them using the switches on each door. the master switch doesn't work. i just got this car from somebody else that told me that there is power going to the switch.

Pull out the switch and check for your self for power at the drivers door.
Check the plug in for corrosion, clean it if necessary.

Could be that the motor has just died...

ok there's power to the switch. but if the motor doesn't work does the switch stop working?

no it sounds like 2 problems.1 if you have power to d/s motor & it doesnt
work your window motor is bad.2 if the other 3 windows work but only
with switch on ea. door then the master switch(driver control)is bad

Sounds like the problem I had on my 91 Old Cutlass Ciera. Problem was that a wire going to the master switch was broken in the hinge area. You need a ground from the master switch for the other windows to operate. Make sure the Master switch has a ground. (not just power).
