Removing panel with door stuck shut. '99 civic

The trim was removed on the outside of the door and the handles seem fine. Whatever causes the door to release open does not seem to be working. I am assuming this is the locking mechanism. However, we can not figure out how to remove the panel to get a better look. Please Help!

its more than likely gonna be the door rod popped out of the latch to remove the door panel look for any screw holes or popouts like theres one in the door handle you use to open the door and the outside perimeter of the door should be popped out with a flat screwdriver carefully and have fun at the back of the door handle the door rod should be intact if not then you know what your prob is worse case if the door has been slammed alot then you might have broke the door handle made out of plastic
