I have a 2000 cavalier and all of a sudden both daytime running lamps are out. The head lights work but the running light do not. Is it likely that both head lights are at the same time? Thanks

I just went out in checked. Right when I start the car my running lamps work for a spit second then they act like they are shorting out. Then I turn on my headlights and they work, now when I go to turn on my high beams only one of then work and nothing from the other side.

sounds like it could be a bad DRL relay

well at least for my car ('98) if one high beam is out both DRL's don't work...mine turned out to be a connection going bad since there were times when the lights worked, but most of the time they didn't...it was kind of annoying going down the road winking at the other cars...(low beams suffered the same problem)
damn connectors cost me about 50 bux for both of them...i know i know...i should'ah gone to a junkyard or something but i wanted more of a guarantee that they would work.
if your one bulb isn't burned out, wiggle the wire when you have your high beam on and see if you get power to it. if you do, you need to replace the connector more than likely.
