Hey I have a 99 alero 3.4, I finally got my car to start, found out that my bcm wasnt getting any power. So I juumped the fuse off an always hot fuse. Car runs great. But now I have a problem, I can start the car when it cools down without a problem, but after I turn it off and try to start it right back up it wont start. I get no fuel on the rail, could it be my pump. I heard that some pumps will work when they are cool, but if it gets warm and you try to restart the pump will not work.I no its onot passlock problems, becuase I tried a new ignition cylinder and it does the samething as my old one. Any advice will help.

Best thing to do since the fuel pump assembly is expensive and tedious to replace since the gas tank has to be dropped is run a fuel pressure check at the rear fuel injector rail (right side). There is a Schrader valve you can connect an automotive fuel pressure tester. Check pressure at fuel pump prime (ignition to on not start) initially and while engine is idling once you get the engine to start.

Im havbing a probvlem with my alero 99 3.4. If it has sat for a little while it will start up without a probvlem, runs bveautiful, but if I turn it off and kthen try to rrestart right away it wont start up at all, or it will startup and act like it is starvbing for gas. When I check the fuel rail there is no gas on it at all, ut if I wait a little while, I get gas on rail. COuld this be a fuel pump, I havbe read that they go out sometime when they get hot, and then when they get could they will start working again
