How to clear up composite headlights

Hello; Has anyone had any luck clearing up the fogging problem on the 97 metro headlights (or any other composite headlights for that matter ). Is their a kit or polishing agent that will bring them back to clear. BTW the fogging is from crossive's or uv damage on the outside of the unit, not from condensation on the inside of the units. :naughty:

Auto parts stores carry a product that is made just for that. I can't remember what it's called. I've had good luck using regular white polishing compound.

Parts stores carry two that I know of. One comes with small polishing pads, compound, and a device to use with a drill. The other is a liquid (toothpaste like) compound that you polish with a soft rag. They both work pretty good, but don't expect it to look like new. Good luck

I bought this stuff - haven't had the chance to use it yet on my son's Plymouth Neon...

Here is a screenshot of their web site - "Custom Chemical Packaging"

I've used a McGuires product called Plastix (plastic polish). As stated earlier it doesn't quite make them look like new but the difference is dramatic. I also used one of the small foam polishing balls in my drill to apply it, had the lights cleaned up in about 5 minutes each.

I also used McGuires Plastix and I agree, it doesn't make them look brand new, but it certainly did clear up the lenses tremendously! I was impressed!
