Water

1988 4runner, 22-re
Well what can i say, i didnt test the water and it was alot deeper than i thought. At one point my headlights went under, it started bogging down and it smelt like it was running really rich so i assume i sucked in some water. It drove home fine and i let it sit for a few hour and i started it back up, its night though so i cant check it out. When i rev it up it seams to bogg out so i guess it not getting enough air,i will check the air filter tommorow, any other suggestions?

Are snorkels worth it if get a good set up, i have never really looked into them?

I cleaned all the intake out and replaced the air filter, its running good. I still would like and suggestions as to what to do incase i missed something. And i wouldn't mind any opinions on snorkels?thanks in advance

You better see if you have water in your differential fluids (change the fluids). The breathers for the differentials may not extend upward far enough to keep water out which is that deep. If you have to go in deep water, that is one of the mods you will have to make.
