i turned on my hazards the other day.
parking in the road to run inside and get a forgotten wallet kind of thing.
so anyway. all the turn signals and everything are still working properly, but when i turned on the flashers, all four lights just stayed on steady.
they got brighter, as if to flash, then no flashing.
weird.
btw it's an 85 chevy c10, with some work done, but nothing that would affect lighting. also, i should point out that they were working properly when i last used them several weeks ago. nothing has been done in those weeks, just the occasional workout drive.

ive got a 97 and when i apply the brakes the lights stay solid, then when i release the breaks the return to flashing. I guess its so when you stop people behind you can tell better. when the flashers off, are your brake lights functioning? if not, you may want to check the switch

There is a separate flasher (clicker) for the 4way emergency lights and sounds like a likely suspect.

I agree. To find which one it is, turn on the turn signal and feel both flashers (those round metal things on the fuse panel). You will feel the click on one of them. Replace the other one.
